Video – Stampin’ for Starr Fundraiser – Stamp Out Cancer

I happy and very proud to announce that with the help of great friends and supporters, $3300.00 was raised in memory of my dear friend and talented stamper, Starr Fitch, who died unexpectedly earlier this year.  The money raised was the result of selling Starr's Stampin' Up! products, craft supplies, baking supplies, and cookbooks.  All money raised is being donated to the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Greater Cincinnati, Starr's favorite charity as she was very proud of being a 7 year ovarian cancer survivor.  

Special thanks go to Starr's husband, Dennis, who gave me the opportunity to share Starr's legacy of kindness, generosity, and giving of herself as well as her creative talents.  We think Starr would be happy to know that the things that brought her so much happiness were sold at great discounts to get them in the hands of others who share her interests and afford them the opportunity to enjoy the happiness that comes with creating.  A BIG thank you to my dear friend, Rosie Janis, who agreed to work with me on this event, not only allowing us to have a successful sale, but also to make it an event that celebrated Starr's creativity and her giving spirit. Many thanks to all our event helpers as well, Mark Janis, Katie Janis, Tommy Wilkinson, Abby and Cole House, Jackie Mayer, Debby Price, Tracy Dahling, Leisa Marlow, Cyndie Mychalishyn, and Robin Agee.  You made this BIG event much more manageable for Rosie, Dennis, and me.  

Starr Fitch made a positive difference in the lives of all who knew her.  Thank you to the many shoppers and supporters who attended our event and share in our efforts to STAMP OUT OVARIAN CANCER.  

This charity is also close to my heart because unfortunately, I lost a fellow Stampin' Up! friend to Ovarian Cancer, Missy Steinmetz.  "Missy's Mob" walked in the Cincinnati Power is Teal event to raise funds for Ovarian Cancer Awareness and Research.
