Tree Huggers Unite!

I thought you were due for a little Throwback Thursday Fun, so here it is!

It's so hard to say goodbye to the very popular and long-loved Lovely As A Tree stamp set. The stamp set debut in 2001 and has been a favorite of mine along with tens of thousands of other stampers worldwide. It's one of the very first stamp sets I purchased and have loved it over and over as you can see from my stained wood blocks. I found this video I made of 2 cards featuring Lovely As A Tree and demonstrated two techniques using Aqua Painters (a favorite tool of mine because they make me feel like a real watercolor artist but are so easy to use). Watch and then pull out your stamps, ink, and paper and create some beautiful cards of your own.

Don' have this stamp set but been admiring it? Order it now before it's gone. It is available in Clear Mount and Wood Mount (which at the time I bought mine was our only choice). Stamp sets on the Last Chance Products List have guaranteed availability through May 24th. After that, it's while supplies last only.

Click here to see the products used in the making of the video. A few of the colors (Always Artichoke & Soft Sky) have been retired. You can easily replace them with your favorite current Stampin' Up! colors. Mossy Meadow and Balmy Blue are the two replacement colors I would choose. How about you? What current colors will you use?

Wishing you all a lovely day!

Happy Stamping!

PS…I'd love it if you would share my Stampin' Peace Blog and YouTube Channel with your friends! Thanks in advance for helping me share what I love to do!

  1. Great job on water coloring. I need to practice this. Wondering the single tree, you used the green marker instead of an ink pad. would a pad put too much ink on the tree?, since you added the brown. I liked the blending with the Blender pen,

  2. The ink pad would probably put more ink on the stamp but not necessarily too much. I wanted to show people to put ink on their stamps with our Stampin’ Write Markers, a helpful tip when you want more than 1 color on a single stamped image. I love using the Aqua Painters.
