As I like to say, it's just as easy to make 2 cards at once. In this video, I demonstrate how to do just that with a twist. I use the large Potted Succulent Die as a stencil, then make 2 different but coordinating cards. I demonstrate this technique using Blending Brushes which I LOVE. The technique can also be done with Stamping Sponges or Sponge Daubers, but the Blending Brushes give a softer look to the end result. I hope you'll enjoy the demonstration then give this technique a try with any of your large detailed dies.
Cutting Dimensions:
- Basic White card stock for cutting large succulent die to be used as die cut = 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
- Basic White for blending color = 5 1/4" x 4"
- Cut layers above down to 5" x 3 3/4" as shown in video before assembling card.
- Card base = 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score at 4 1/4" on long side, fold in half.
- Basic White card stock for inside of card = 5 1/4" x 4"
- Mossy Meadow card stock = 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
- Soft Sea Foam card stock = 5" x 3 3/4"
The 2 cards below are slightly different than those above. The blended colors are a bit lighter and the "stencil" was layered onto Basic White card stock instead of Soft Sea Foam card stock.
