Inlay Die Cuts for a Fabulous Focal Point

Here’s an fun alternate way to use your die cuts. Inlay them to create a unique and surprising focal point. Such an easy technique with stunning results. Watch my demonstration of the Inlay Die Cuts Technique, then grab your supplies and give it a try!

The cards made in my video below feature a die from the Memorable Blooms Bundle and the Birch Wood Embossing Folder, but there are many other dies and embossing folders that would work wonderfully for making fabulous cards with the Inlay Die Cuts Technique.

Dimensions for Inlay Die Cuts cards above:

  • Card base = 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ on long side, fold in half
  • Embossed card stock layer = 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • White card stock layer = 2 3/8″ x 4 5/8″
  • Card =stock layer = 2 1/8″ x 4 3/8″
  • Card stock layer for die cutting and inlays = 2″ x 4 1/4″

Choose 3 shades of a one color to create 3 cards at once using the Inlay Die Cuts technique.

Here’s another demonstration I did with the same technique but with a different Stamp Set & Dies, a different embossing folder, and a different color scheme. Click here to watch the video.
